This morning at 0745hrs the Rescue-Engine was dispatched on Box 30-2 for the crash with reported people trapped. The Rescue-Engine (Capt. Strausbaugh) went with 7 on dispatch and was advised that PD was on the scene advising they had 2 people trapped with minor injuries. Upon arrival the Rescue-Engine confirmed dispatch and went to work stabelizing the vehicle, evaluating the patients, and preforming 2 door pops. E30 arrived and pulled a protection line and assisted with patient removal. Extrication was preformed in 10 minutes and the Rescue-Engine picked up shortly after.

Tonight at 2140hrs the Company was dispatched for the 32-2 box for a reported kitchen fire in an apartment building on Wakefield Rd. Chief 32 (McCoy), the Wagon (Capt. Strausbaugh) w/8, and Tower (Chief Parsons) w/6 pulled on dispatch shortly followed by the Rescue-Engine (FF Linhart) w/2. The Wagon dropped a line and layed 200ft and nosed in to the Tower to find nothing showing while the Rescue-Engine picked up the Wagons Line. The Wagon Crew ran a 200ft. line to the front door while investigation found over-done yardbird and held the box to Company 32 for ventilation. Crews went ready in about 30 min's.

This morning the Rescue-Engine was dispatched to transfer to upper county station 29 (Halifax). Engine 32 (Lt. Wynn) with four personnel took that transfer while upper county units handled a job in 216's first due. A few hours later a 33-3 box assignment came in for reported smoke on division 1. Engine 33 asked for the first alarm bringing Wagon 32-1 (Chief Parsons) with four personnel as the 4th due engine. E32-1 arrived 3rd due and laid the INITIAL supply-line to the first due E-33. At the same time Engine 34 reverse laid another line to a secondary water source. The Wagons crew assisted 33's line crew with horizontal ventilation and opening up in the fire room as well as sending one of our firemen to the roof. Quick knock was made and the Wagon went ready in an hour. While both Engine Companies were taking part in fireman business a 3rd crew of 5 staffed the Tower Ladder. Total manpower for the daylight shift was 13!

In the early morning hours around 0300 Company 32 and Rescue 37 was dispatched to Interstate 81 South just before exit 69 for an accident with injuries reported 1 unconscious. Engine 32 with 6 (Capt. Lawrence) and Chief 32-2 (Parsons) were enroute to be updated of 1 patient unconscious and now to be confined. Units from 32 arrived and took the drivers door and assisted EMS with packaging. Extrication was marked at 5 minutes and units went available.

This evening as a Cub Scout Group was getting a tour of the station Box 32-2 was dispatched for an Accident with Entrapment at the entrance to Sara Lindemuth School on Progress Avenue. Chief and Engine 32 (Capt. Lawrence) with 5 went within a minute and arrived to find 2 vehicles with 1 person still inside. Engine 32 crew took the drivers door and assisted EMS with patient packaging. Engine 32-1 (Lt. Mekailek) and Rescue 37 assisted with a 2nd patient and providing a protection line. Units cleared the scene in 25 minutes.

On Friday units were dispatch to the intersection of Brandywine Drive and Buttonwood Cir., for a reported MVC with a single vehicle into a tree. Rescue Engine 32 (Lt. Mekailek) responded with 8, followed by the Wagon (Matz) with 5. Crews arrived to find a mini-van into a median tree with the driver still in the vehicle with air bag deployment. Crews split, stabilizing the vehicle, controlling battery and fluids and standing by for suppression. Due to a language barrier, the patient was removed from the vehicle and fully immobilized. On arrival of EMS, patient care was transferred and crews cleared in 20 minutes.

This evening crews loaded up in the Wagon, Tower, and Squad to Co. 59's first due to attend a training at the Day's in Suites. Crews from 32 and 49 spent 3 hours doing 4x4 and trench cuts and also went over different vertical ventilation techniques which was lead by Capt. Strausbaugh. Crews from 59, 54, and 88 spent the night going over different forcible entry techniques. We would like to thank Co. 59 and 49 for the invite to attend training at the hotel before it is demolished.

At 0200 Hours Company 30 Penbrook was dispatched for smoke in the area of 27th/Herr St. Penbrook PD arrived and advised of the corrected address and stated there was a possible Commercial Building on fire at that intersection. Engine 30 (Capt. Murphy) arrived to investigate and found heavy smoke coming from 2701 Herr the Velter Products building. A 1st alarm was requested which brought Engine 32-1 as the 5th due engine company. The Wagon (Capt. Wolford) was on the street in a minute w/ 8 and arrived as the second due engine and laid their own line from 28th and Herr. Engine 31 picked up 32-1's line at the plug while the Wagon crew was forcing multiple doors on side delta and stretching a 2 1/2" line per our SOPS . The Wagon crew w/ the officer and firefighter from Engine 30 stretched into the center of the warehouse where a 20x20 room was found well involved. Captain 32 assumed division 1 and the lineman from 32 put a quick knock on the fire. Crews began to open up on the interior and start aggressive overhaul. 32/30 were backed up on the fire floor by Engine 33 who also assisted with overhaul. Tower 1 opened the roof and Ladder 34 laddered the building and opened up horizontally. All searches were negative.

This morning around 0600 hours Squad 32 was dispatch in place of Company 37 for a Cardiac Arrest at the Golden Living Center Assisted Living facility. Squad 32 crew arrived with EMS from Susquehanna Twp and got pulses back on the patient and the squad crew assisted ems on the ride to the hospital. Good Job by all involved.

This afternoon while day light staffers where preparing for lunch, Communications drop the 49 box for reported smoke from a house. Chief 49 arrived to find a working fire and requested the 1 st alarm assignment and Wagon 32-1. The Wagon(Capt. Strausbaugh) was on the street after dispatch with 8 and also Chief 32-1(Hockenberry) added to the box to assist command. The Wagon arrived and assisted with overhaul operations and the Chief assisted command with operations. The company went ready in about 1.5 hours. While the Wagon and Chief operated at the fire, the Rescue-Engine (Capt.Wolford) with 4 took in a first due fire alarm which ended up to be a false trip.
